Terms & Conditions
Interim version. The full text is being finalised.
1. Who we are
Ariadne is provided by Ariadne, operated by Ksawery Bednarek — contact@getariadne.xyz ("Ariadne", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the app you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
2. The service
Ariadne helps students prepare for recruiting in finance: practice questions, a preparation plan, firm information and news, a recruiting calendar, networking tools and progress tracking. It is a study and organisation tool. It is not career, legal, immigration, financial or investment advice, and using it does not guarantee an interview or an offer. Firm information, deadlines and news come partly from public sources and may be incomplete or out of date; check important dates with the firm.
We keep improving Ariadne, so features may change, be added or be removed.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old.
- Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
- An account is for one person. Keep your sign-in details safe; you are responsible for what happens in your account.
- Tell us at contact@getariadne.xyz if you think someone else has accessed it.
4. Free and paid plans
Ariadne has a free plan. Paid plans, when offered, are sold as in-app subscriptions through the Apple App Store or Google Play. The price and what is included are shown in the app before you buy. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel them in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their terms. This does not affect any statutory consumer rights you have.
5. Acceptable use
Do not:
- break the law or infringe anyone's rights through Ariadne;
- add other people's personal data that you are not entitled to keep, or use contact details to send spam;
- submit false, misleading, offensive or unlawful content, including Wall of Fame entries for offers you did not receive;
- copy, scrape or resell the question bank or other content, or use it to build a competing product;
- try to break, overload or get around the security of the service, or access other users' data.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of what you create in Ariadne: answers, recordings, notes, contacts and reports. You give us the permission we need to store and process it so we can run the service for you. If you submit a Wall of Fame entry or a question for the question bank, you allow us to review, edit for length and clarity, and publish it to other users. You can ask us to remove a published entry at any time. We may remove content that breaks these terms.
7. Our content
The app, its design, the question bank, preparation plans and other materials are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property law. You may use them for your own preparation while you have an account. News headlines link to their original sources and belong to their publishers.
8. Liability
We provide Ariadne with reasonable care and skill, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions you make based on content in the app, such as missed application deadlines. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or your rights as a consumer.
9. Ending your use
You can stop using Ariadne and delete your account at any time in Settings → Danger zone → Delete account. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, and will tell you why unless the law prevents it. If you have a paid subscription, cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account as well.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date above and, for changes that matter, tell you in the app before they apply. If you do not agree, you can delete your account.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Poland. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live and may bring claims in its courts. EU consumers can also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
